THE MEAT OF THE GUANACO

GUANACO IS AN ENDEMIC SPECIE TO SOUTH AMERICA, IN PATAGONIA CAN BE SEEN IN LARGE HERDS GRAZING THROUGH THE PAMPAS. THIS CAMELID RELATED TO LLAMAS, ALPACAS AND VICUÑAS WAS FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS THE MAIN SOURCE OF FOOD, CLOTHING AND TOOLS FOR THE PATAGONIAN NATIVES.

THE MEAT OF THE GUANACO IT IS A VERY LEAN MEAT (LOW IN FAT) BEING A GREAT ALTERNATIVE FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR HEALTHIER RED MEATS. FURTHERMORE GUANACOS LIVE A WILD LIFE IN THE PATAGONIAN STEPPE MEANING A NATURAL MEAT.
